Run RMuon · L3→L2 benchmark-relative attribution/comparison
Muon g−2 2021 — RMuon
7 April 2021
- 1 · Claim tested
- Muon g−2 Collaboration (2021): 4.2σ experiment–theory tension relative to the declared data-driven HVP / WP20 benchmark synthesized by Aoyama et al. (2020).
- 2 · Run date / Evidence state
- 7 April 2021. The run is fixed to the declared data-driven HVP / WP20 comparator. The practice-live BMW lattice-HVP result is retained as mandatory scope context, not substituted into the frozen comparator.
- 3 · Verdict
- PASS
- 4 · Why
- All six token conditions pass and no residual P2 bridge debt survives V2; DR = {}. The comparator-relative numerical statement is preserved, so κ₀ closes the run.
- 5 · What this does not mean
- PASS is not a truth verdict, does not mean that all Standard-Model determinations agree, and does not license ‘the Standard Model is confirmed/refuted’ or ‘new physics’ language; it applies only to the declared benchmark-relative 4.2σ statement.
- 6 · What would trigger a new run?
- A later theory state, a changed benchmark/comparator, materially new evidence, or a reformulated claim creates a new run; RMuon remains the 7 April 2021 comparator-relative record.
