This website provides independent academic information about the Prephysics research programme and its publications. It uses no audience analytics, advertising networks, social-media pixels or remotely loaded web fonts.

2. Hosting and technical access data
The website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. When a page is requested, the hosting and security infrastructure processes technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer, browser and operating-system information. This is necessary to deliver content, maintain stability and prevent misuse.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure, reliable and efficient provision of the website. The recipient is Cloudflare, Inc., including affiliated companies and service providers described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Cloudflare may process data in third countries and identifies, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses as transfer mechanisms.
The operator performs no audience analytics and does not routinely retrieve personal visitor profiles. Technical data are processed only for as long as required for delivery, security, troubleshooting and legal obligations; Cloudflare’s own retention and deletion rules also apply.
3. No cookies, analytics or remote font providers
The website’s own code sets no cookies and uses neither local storage nor session storage. Fonts are supplied exclusively by the visitor’s operating system. A consent banner is therefore not used for the present technical configuration.
4. Contact by e-mail
If you contact the operator by e-mail, the information supplied is processed to answer the enquiry and manage the resulting correspondence. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where the communication concerns an agreement, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. E-mail is handled through Gmail; Google Ireland Limited and affiliated companies may process data under their own privacy terms. Correspondence is retained only for as long as required for the purpose and applicable legal obligations.
5. Counterexample Register
If an objection is submitted to the Counterexample Register, the operator processes the sender’s contact data, the affected claim or passage, the cited primary source and the substantive reasons in order to assess the objection and maintain a transparent scientific correction record. The legal basis for assessment and register documentation is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the traceable correction and auditability of public research claims.
The public register normally publishes the substantive objection, source reference, status history, decision reason and any consequence. A sender’s name or e-mail address is not published by default. A name is published only with explicit consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent to name attribution may be withdrawn for future display; the substantive register entry can remain in anonymised form where the scientific audit record still requires it. Personal data relating to third parties and private information not necessary to assess the objection are redacted before publication.
Public register entries and their status history are intended to remain available for the lifetime of the associated public research record, including after correction or supersession. The underlying correspondence is retained only as long as needed to assess and substantiate the register entry, resolve follow-up questions, or meet legal obligations. For processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object under Article 21 GDPR by contacting the controller; processing may continue only where applicable legal grounds permit it.

The website links to external services, including ORCID, PhilPeople, Zenodo, DOI resolvers, arXiv, PhilPapers and Cloudflare. The external site is contacted only when a link is selected. The respective provider is responsible for its processing.
7. Data-subject rights
Subject to statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place. Complaints may be lodged with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
